Chapter 269 - Chapter 269: A Mysterious Organization?

The Five Great Gods were deeply impressed by Karl's strength.

However, they soon returned to discussing serious matters.

Protecting the Multiverse was also extremely important to them.

Naturally, Karl, who had already returned to Earth, knew nothing about their conversation.

It took him considerable effort to make his way back through the chaotic dimensional realms.

Outside Earth, Strange remained trapped within the frozen-time barrier.

He stood completely motionless, like a statue.

The previous battle had been so intense that Karl had temporarily forgotten about him.

Karl waved his hand and directly broke the temporal confinement surrounding Strange.

Only then did Strange suddenly return to normal.

"Hah… hah…"

He first took several deep breaths.

"Karl, what happened?"

"Where is Mordo?"

Strange asked.

"I already killed him."

Karl answered with a grave expression.

Strange immediately sensed that something was wrong.

"What happened?"

"Didn't you kill Mordo? Why do you still look like that?"

Strange asked.

They had come here specifically to deal with Mordo. Everything else should have been irrelevant to them.

Now that Mordo was dead, should that not have been the end of the matter?

Why did Karl still look so worried?

Could something else be hiding behind Mordo?

"Mordo is indeed dead, but something far more troublesome remains."

"Did you not know that an immensely powerful evil god stood behind him?"

"Now that entity has become our problem as well."

"One mistake could lead to a crisis capable of destroying the entire Multiverse."

Karl explained.

"What?"

Strange's face filled with shock.

"Tell me everything."

Strange's expression also became extremely serious.

Karl then told him everything about the First Firmament.

He explained its origins and strength.

"What?"

"A being of that level actually exists?"

Strange drew a sharp breath.

A mere fragment of its body had transformed into the Multiverse.

Just how powerful was its true body?

Existences like the Five Great Gods already exceeded everything Strange could comprehend.

Their power was simply impossible to measure.

However, the First Firmament was apparently even more powerful than the Five Great Gods.

How could they possibly defeat something like that?

"Karl, are you certain?"

"This is not something you can joke about."

Strange spoke with an exceptionally serious expression.

"Do you think I would joke about something like this?"

"This crisis could affect the entire Multiverse."

"I would never joke about that."

"We need to begin preparing as soon as possible."

Karl sighed.

To be honest, he did not want to confront such a powerful being.

The First Firmament was unquestionably one of the most powerful entities in existence.

Fighting it would be extraordinarily dangerous.

Karl did not want to take such an enormous risk.

The Main Universe was filled with powerful individuals. Surely there were others capable of dealing with a monster like that.

After all, the Main Universe was home to countless super-powered beings and superheroes.

However, Karl now had no choice but to become involved.

The First Firmament had already set its sights on him. Even if he tried to hide, he would not be able to escape its attention.

Furthermore, once the First Firmament made its move, the entire Multiverse could be destroyed.

Karl could not escape that outcome either.

If the Multiverse was destroyed, Karl would not be able to survive alone.

Possessing an unlimited lifespan did not mean he could endure an eternity of absolute solitude.

He was not a godlike entity such as the First Firmament, born without any emotions.

"The greatest problem now is determining how we are supposed to deal with it."

"Our current strength is probably insufficient."

"The First Firmament is simply too powerful."

Karl could not help but sigh.

There was always someone stronger.

The First Firmament stood at the summit of existence and was an abstract entity comparable to the Five Great Gods.

Karl was still some distance away from reaching that level.

He believed that one day he would be capable of defeating the First Firmament.

However, he was still far from being a match for such an entity now.

"It is indeed powerful."

"However, I suspect that it cannot enter the Multiverse directly."

"Our world also has beings of immense power."

"The Five Great Gods and the Living Tribunal will not allow it to do whatever it pleases."

Strange reminded him.

"You have a point."

"Even the First Firmament cannot challenge the greatness of the Living Tribunal."

Karl nodded.

The Living Tribunal was a supreme existence responsible for maintaining the balance of reality.

It had been appointed by the great One-Above-All to preserve the balance of the world.

Its power was naturally extraordinary.

It could be said that its abilities had already reached the level of omniscience and omnipotence.

The First Firmament might be powerful, but it was certainly not a match for the great Living Tribunal.

Unfortunately, the Living Tribunal would not intervene unless the situation became absolutely unavoidable.

"Strange, we cannot simply sit here waiting for death."

"We also need to find a way to save ourselves."

"The First Firmament may be unable to enter the Multiverse, but it can still employ other methods."

"What happens if it corrupts other powerful beings?"

"We will have to deal with those threats ourselves."

"We need more power."

Karl spoke with great caution.

Strange fell into thought.

"You are right about that."

"We do indeed need additional power."

"Fortunately, I have several like-minded friends on Earth. We can ask them for help."

"I can also introduce you to them."

Strange said.

"Oh?"

"Interesting."

"There is actually an organization on Earth that I do not know about?"

"In that case, I will go and take a look."

"Any help they can provide would naturally be welcome."

"We need as many powerful allies as possible."

"As a last resort, we can also contact the mutants. There are some extraordinarily powerful individuals among them."

Karl said.

Mutants were among the most unfairly gifted beings in existence.

They possessed unbelievably powerful abilities.

Their very existence demonstrated just how unevenly power was distributed throughout the world.

Many mutants were capable of fighting far beyond the limits expected of them.

Some even possessed combat power surpassing the multiversal level.

If they received help from beings like that when confronting the First Firmament, their situation would become much easier.

"You do not need to worry. Some of my friends are also mutants."

"There are members of other races as well."

"They are all different offshoots of humanity."

"We can certainly obtain their assistance."

Strange answered calmly.

Hearing that, Karl became curious.

Were there truly so many different factions on Earth?

The Earth of his own universe did not have so many strange races, nor did it possess so many complicated organizations.

The Main Universe truly was a complicated place.

However, Karl was also rather curious.

Just what organization was Strange talking about?
