If Karl had been asked to judge which planet in the Main Universe possessed the greatest overall strength, he would undoubtedly have nominated Earth.
It was the headquarters of countless superheroes and the heart of the entire universe.
Earth might not have been particularly large, but it possessed more powerful individuals than any other planet.
Their numbers could only be described as enormous.
You could probably throw a brick down a street in New York City and hit three superheroes and five supercriminals.
That was especially true because of the mutants.
The number of people with superpowers on Earth was almost impossible to count.
Even so, Karl had never imagined that Earth possessed this many powerful beings.
The moment he sensed that aura of destruction, he flew out of Kamar-Taj, intending to intercept the being that was making no attempt to conceal its presence.
However, by the time he arrived, he discovered that the Celestial-like entity possessing multiversal-level strength had already been killed instantly.
Just like that.
It had been eliminated in a single instant.
Even someone as composed as Karl was stunned.
He could not help marveling at how terrifying the Main Universe truly was.
What surprised him even more was that he knew the person who had attacked.
Perhaps "knew" was not quite the correct word.
A version of this person was familiar to him in his own universe, but this was the first time he had encountered her in the Main Universe.
She was none other than the Scarlet Witch.
However, it was obvious that instantly killing a Dark Celestial had not been easy for her.
Her face was flushed, and her ample chest rose and fell rapidly. She had clearly consumed an enormous amount of power.
Karl could not stop himself from glancing at her several times.
"Do you need any help?" Karl asked.
"Thank you, but I only need to rest for a while," the Scarlet Witch replied after glancing at him.
Even in the Main Universe, she had not yet completely mastered the power of Chaos Magic.
Karl was not surprised by that.
Had she truly mastered such terrifying power, then forget the Celestials—even instantly killing the First Firmament would have been effortless for her.
She had once spoken a single sentence and erased the powers of every mutant throughout the entire Multiverse.
What kind of terrifying power was that?
It was as though reality itself obeyed her words and the laws of the world bent to her command.
That was the ultimate potential of Chaos Magic.
The Scarlet Witch was unquestionably one of the Marvel Universe's chosen ones.
Her parents had died, leaving her and her brother to depend upon each other.
During her childhood, Chthon had attempted to manipulate her. However, his scheme backfired spectacularly, and he ended up giving her access to his own power.
That had allowed the Scarlet Witch to become one of the most powerful beings in the Marvel Universe.
If that did not sound like something from a novel, what did?
Even Karl's own rise had not been that outrageous.
She had not even needed to undergo a gradual process. She had gone directly from an ordinary mortal to a god.
After everything Wanda had endured, Karl considered it a miracle that she had still become a superhero.
Having heard Wanda's story before, he could not help feeling deeply moved.
"Miss Wanda, this should be the first time we've met, correct?" Karl asked.
"Perhaps it isn't, Karl," the Scarlet Witch replied with a brilliant smile.
"You know who I am?"
Karl was extremely surprised.
He had never met the Scarlet Witch in this universe.
Was the Main Universe's Scarlet Witch really that formidable?
Even if her fully unleashed state could instantly kill beings on the level of the Five Great Gods, she should not have been that powerful under normal circumstances.
"I'm not someone who limits her attention to this universe alone," she replied.
"Besides, considering your reputation, isn't it only natural that I know you?"
"You are the only Sorcerer Supreme in many years who has publicly humiliated the Celestials."
The Scarlet Witch's eyes shone with interest as she spoke.
Karl gave an awkward smile.
"That was only self-defense."
"If they had not attacked me, I would never have fought them."
"I understand. The Celestials are not particularly likable."
The Scarlet Witch wrinkled her nose as she spoke.
Clearly, she did not approve of the Celestials' behavior either.
"This one did not seem like an ordinary Celestial."
"Its power was filled with deathly silence and coldness."
The Scarlet Witch frowned.
Although she had instantly killed the Celestial-like entity, the attack had still consumed a considerable amount of her power.
Even within the Main Universe, it could not possibly have been considered weak.
What exactly was it?
Had one of the Celestials gone insane?
While the Scarlet Witch considered the possibilities, Karl looked at the Dark Celestial beside them, half of whose body had already disappeared, and frowned as well.
"Wonderful. We've offended the Celestials again."
"I didn't expect this thing to attack so quickly."
Karl shook his head.
"You know where this Celestial came from?"
"Why have I never seen a Celestial like this before?" the Scarlet Witch asked curiously.
Although every Celestial was different, all members of the Celestials possessed one obvious characteristic.
Their bodies were extraordinarily colorful.
Red, yellow, and purple were all extremely conspicuous colors.
The Scarlet Witch knew that the different colors resulted from the distinct powers within their bodies reflecting light in different ways.
However, why was this Celestial black?
She had never encountered a member of the Celestials like it before.
Seeing the curiosity on the Scarlet Witch's face, Karl could not help sighing.
"This is not an ordinary Celestial."
"It is one of the First Firmament's minions—one of the oldest Dark Celestials and an enemy of the ordinary Celestials," Karl explained.
"The First Firmament? Who is that?"
"And what are the Dark Celestials?" the Scarlet Witch asked.
The Scarlet Witch might have been extraordinarily powerful, but she was entirely self-taught.
She relied almost exclusively upon her natural talent in battle.
When it came to magical theory and knowledge, she probably knew less than an ordinary Kamar-Taj Sorcerer.
Otherwise, she would not have experienced so much difficulty controlling her own power.
Naturally, she knew nothing about a powerful and secretive existence like the First Firmament.
Karl therefore patiently explained the origins of the First Firmament and the Dark Celestials.
The Scarlet Witch's expression immediately became solemn.
"If everything is truly as you described, then we may be facing serious trouble."
"The will of this universe told me that there are many more beings like this scattered throughout the cosmos."
The Scarlet Witch's expression became extremely grim.
"How many?" Karl asked curiously.
"Ten thousand."
The Scarlet Witch forced out the number with a dark expression.
Karl stared at her in disbelief.
Was this some kind of joke?
Ten thousand Dark Celestials?
Did that not mean there were more than ten thousand multiversal-level beings?
How were they supposed to fight that?
Even the Five Great Gods would probably turn around and flee!
