Chapter 91 - Chapter 91: Why Are You in Arthur's Room?

The next day.

"Knock, knock, knock!"

The sound of knocking came from the door.

"Arthur! Are you awake, Arthur?"

"Knock, knock, knock!"

Xie Xie's knocking came from outside the door. "It's already noon. We're planning to have a meal together in Skysea City before heading back!"

Waking up in a daze, Arthur was indeed too tired yesterday. He walked out of the bedroom door and rubbed his eyes. "Alright, wait for me to get ready for a bit."

"And another thing," Xie Xie said hurriedly. "Gu Yue and Na'er are nowhere to be found. Xu Xiaoyan went to their room but didn't see anyone, and their phones aren't going through."

"Do you think they went out for a duel?" He guessed maliciously. "Na'er's behavior yesterday must have been too much. Gu Yue looks fine on the outside, but she's actually jealous deep down."

"Dragging Na'er out in the middle of the night for a life-and-death struggle."

Arthur instantly perked up and hurriedly winked at him, trying to smooth things over. "Don't just guess blindly. Maybe there's some other reason?"

Xie Xie pointed accusingly. "What do you mean 'guess blindly'? I have evidence."

"Back when Na'er first arrived, didn't the two of them have a conflict because of you?"

"It looked fine at the time, but they still had a fight in the dormitory at night. It was earth-shaking; I thought the building was going to collapse."

Shut up! Do you want to die?!

Arthur looked at Xie Xie with pity and patted his shoulder. "As long as you're happy."

Then he left to wash up.

"Strange." Xie Xie still hadn't figured out what he meant, but he froze in the next second.

Because after Arthur left, Na'er and Gu Yue also walked out of his room.

Na'er stepped barefoot onto the carpet, her silver hair falling over her shoulders, with a lingering laziness in her eyes. "Xie Xie, who did you say was going to have a life-and-death struggle?"

Before she even finished speaking, a subtle sense of oppression filled the air.

Gu Yue followed closely behind. Her expression was indifferent as she tilted her head. "You seem to be looking forward to Na'er and me fighting?"

Xie Xie felt as if the sky had fallen.

"Ahahaha." Xie Xie waved his hands frantically. "I have a split personality. That was just my other personality going crazy. Don't mind it, haha."

"Wait!" He suddenly realized and exclaimed, "Why are you in Arthur's room?!"

"Is there a problem?" Na'er had the expression of a mob boss.

"No... no problem." Xie Xie swallowed hard.

Gu Yue didn't bother to explain and turned to leave straight away.

...Once everything was ready, everyone gathered together.

Walking on the way to the restaurant.

"Xie Xie, what's wrong?" Tang Wulin noticed something was off with his buddy. "Are you feeling unwell somewhere?"

Xie Xie's body stiffened, and he subconsciously hunched his shoulders, lowering his voice. "It's nothing, I'm just holding it in."

He stole a glance at Na'er walking ahead. She seemed to sense it and looked back with a "kind" gaze, scaring him into instantly straightening his back.

"Holding it in?" Tang Wulin asked, puzzled. "Do you need to use the bathroom?"

"Sigh, you don't understand." Xie Xie shook his head and sighed.

Who could understand his suffering? He had discovered a shocking piece of gossip but couldn't talk about it.

It was agonizing to hold it in.

Arthur and Wu Zhangkong walked at the very front.

"Arthur," Wu Zhangkong's voice sounded.

"What is it?"

"An Elder from Shrek wants to meet with you."

"Oh?" Arthur looked over, surprised. "What do they want?"

"I don't know. I'm only responsible for making the connection." As if afraid Arthur would misunderstand, Wu Zhangkong began to distance himself in his words.

"You don't know? That makes me feel very insecure."

"No need to worry about that." Wu Zhangkong shook his head. "The main person in charge this time is the Holy Spirit Douluo. Nothing will happen."

"The Holy Spirit Douluo..." Arthur naturally knew about Ya Li's situation.

If it was her, then at least Shrek wasn't here to pick a fight or seek revenge.

But just in case, he should make a call.

He took out his soul guidance communication device.

"Hello, old man."

There was a moment of silence on the other end of the device, and then an old but vigorous voice came through, with a hint of playfulness: "Go ahead, it's fine."

Arthur was so startled he could barely hold the device steady.

He hadn't said anything yet. How did Agravaine know?

Then, as if thinking of something, Arthur looked up at the sky.

This old man couldn't have been voyeuristically watching him from the sky this whole time, could he?

Arthur stopped using the device and directly projected his Spiritual Power. "Are you there?"

Sure enough, Agravaine's voice rang directly in his ear. "I'm here."

No, it wasn't just his.

Mu Ye joined the Spiritual Power group chat: "I'm here too."

Mu Chen joined the Spiritual Power group chat: "I'm here."

Zhen Hua joined the Spiritual Power group chat: "And me."

Arthur's mouth twitched violently. He knew people were definitely protecting him in the shadows, but he hadn't expected all four of these old men to come in person.

His Spiritual Power retracted significantly as he roared in his mind with a lowered voice, "Have you four been peeping this whole time?!"

"What do you mean 'peeping'?" Agravaine's voice carried a smile. "We're just concerned about you."

Mu Ye chimed in, "Exactly, exactly. Shrek's waters run deep; we're also concerned about you."

Mu Chen added, "Rest assured, we won't disturb you. We'll just quietly be your support."

Zhen Hua was concise: "If anything happens, just give a shout, and we'll be there immediately."

Although he was somewhat speechless, at least he was relieved.

With these Four Great Generals present, safety was guaranteed.

The group chat ended. Arthur rubbed his brow and noticed Wu Zhangkong looking at him with a puzzled expression. "What's wrong?"

"It's nothing." Arthur shook his head. "I just ran into a few old pranksters."

Wu Zhangkong understood and didn't ask further.

The two continued forward and soon reached the entrance of the restaurant. Xu Xiaoyan had already run inside first, shouting excitedly, "I've already booked a private room, come in quickly!"

Everyone filed into the restaurant. Just as they sat down, Xie Xie couldn't help but lean toward Tang Wulin and whisper, "Wulin, let me tell you a secret."

Tang Wulin raised an eyebrow. "What secret?"

"I found out that Gu Yue and Na'er..." Before Xie Xie could finish, he was interrupted by Na'er's cold gaze. He immediately changed his tune, "I found that the food at this restaurant seems very good!"

Tang Wulin: "..."

Why did he feel like Xie Xie was acting very strange today?

Na'er and Xu Xiaoyan wanted to sit next to Arthur, but they were rejected.

Today was Wu Zhangkong's time!

Arthur sat with Wu Zhangkong and asked seemingly casually, "Teacher..."

"What is it?"

"How long have you been at the Spirit Emperor Peak?"

Hearing this, Wu Zhangkong fell silent. After a moment, his cold voice sounded, "What are you trying to say?"

"I can see that it's because of a problem with your state of mind that you can't achieve a Breakthrough." Arthur explained, "Don't argue yet. I see it very clearly because my eldest uncle also couldn't achieve a Breakthrough because of his state of mind."

"Although I don't know what you've gone through in the past, I still don't want to see you stop here."

This was a lie.

Arthur knew everything; Wu Zhangkong was trapped by his emotions.
