The first lesson after the class committee election.
Wu Zhangkong casually tossed aside the thick book on Mecha Principles, which he had only flipped through a few pages of. "We've learned enough about mechas."
"Today, let's do something different."
Right... right?
It's finished just like that?
The students maintained their respect despite their surprise, closing the textbooks that had only been issued a few days ago.
"Today, we're going to talk about Battle Armor!" Wu Zhangkong's icy gaze swept across the room, and the students lowered their heads, not daring to meet his eyes.
Fortunately, Wu Zhangkong didn't pick anyone to answer questions.
He began to explain Battle Armor.
Wu Zhangkong tapped the podium, and a soul tool projector outlined the prototype of a piece of Battle Armor in the air, its lines sharp and full of power.
"Battle Armor is the second life of a powerful Soul Master, the ultimate extension of a Soul Master's strength."
His voice remained cold as he spoke at length... After finishing the lesson, Wu Zhangkong checked the time.
Taking a final sip of water, he concluded, "So, all of you, from now until graduation..."
"...have one mission."
"Become Battle Armor Masters!"
As soon as these words were spoken, the entire classroom instantly erupted.
The students could no longer maintain their previous silence, their eyes wide with shock.
"We just started school, and we're already preparing for Battle Armor?"
"Is it really this competitive?"
"My secondary profession is only at Rank one; I don't even know where to start."
The buzzing of discussions filled the room, making the air itself feel hot and restless.
Wu Zhangkong set down his water cup, his icy gaze sweeping across the room, instantly silencing all voices.
He didn't bother to explain.
"Creating Battle Armor requires four major professions: Design, Forging, Crafting, and Repair. None can be omitted."
"Next, we will divide into groups."
"Grouping will be based on a comprehensive distribution of secondary profession Ranks. Currently, the profession with the fewest members in class is Forging, with only eight people."
"Therefore, the groups will be limited to eight, and each must cover all four secondary professions."
Wu Zhangkong picked up the textbook from the floor, gave it a casual pat, and turned to leave, leaving behind the words: "Arthur, as the Class Monitor, you are responsible for this. Give me the list when it's ready."
As soon as Wu Zhangkong's figure vanished from the classroom doorway, the eyes of all the students lit up as they stared at Arthur.
"Monitor, I don't have any other requests; I just want to be in your group."
"Monitor, you know me, my secondary profession isn't great. Please, take me with you."
"Same here!"
A Level 6 Forging Master—those who knew, knew. Everyone wanted to ride Arthur's coattails.
Since he had fought so hard for this position, Arthur would fulfill his duties diligently.
Looking at the group of eager children.
He felt a bit emotional. How was he supposed to be perfectly fair to everyone?
Snapping back to reality, Arthur found himself completely surrounded, his ears filled with a cacophony of requests.
He helplessly raised his hand to signal for silence, and the noisy chatter immediately died down by more than half.
"Don't rush; the grouping is about balance. It's not like everything will be fine just by being in my group." He cleared his throat and said loudly, "Now, the four class committee members will first tally everyone's secondary professions and Ranks, then report back to me."
Tang Wulin, Wu Siduo, Luo Guixing, Zheng Yiran... the four class committee members elected earlier began to take action.
They immediately dispersed, collecting information one by one.
Tang Wulin held a pen and paper, a gentle smile on his face as he patiently asked each classmate about their secondary profession and Rank.
Wu Siduo was crisp and efficient, speaking quickly and recording with high efficiency.
Luo Guixing and Zheng Yiran carefully cross-checked the information to avoid any omissions.
Quietly, Na'er, Gu Yue, and Xu Xiaoyan had already made their way to Arthur's side.
Na'er directly grabbed Arthur's arm and shook it. "Brother Arthur, you know me; we've been a team since we were kids."
Xu Xiaoyan blushed, clutching her secondary profession Rank certification in her hand, and added softly, "Can... can you take me too?"
Gu Yue stood to the side with her arms crossed, her silence speaking volumes.
Arthur looked down at Na'er clinging to his arm, then glanced at the confident Gu Yue and the nervous Xu Xiaoyan, smiling helplessly. "What are you worried about? Our Class Zero will definitely stay together... wait."
A flash of inspiration hit Arthur. "Hey, I have an idea."
...After organizing the information collected by the four committee members.
After a rough grouping, Arthur walked up to the podium.
He placed the list on the table.
"Eight groups, all divided." His gaze swept across the room, his voice steady and powerful.
The students' breathing slowed.
They were all starting to get nervous. Whether they could ride on someone's coattails depended on this grouping.
"However!"
Arthur's voice suddenly rose.
He picked up the list and, under everyone's bewildered gazes, gently tore it in half and threw it away.
"I have a better idea."
"We're not dividing into groups anymore."
What happened?
The entire room fell deathly silent, so quiet that a pin drop could be heard.
The students stared wide-eyed at Arthur's nonchalant action of throwing away the shredded list; their brains had stalled.
Not dividing? Then what about the task Teacher Wu assigned? How would they form the eight-group framework? Everyone's face was a picture of confusion.
"Divide what?!"
"Anyone who didn't know better would think we couldn't afford to build them!"
Arthur leaned his hands on the podium, his azure pupils sweeping across the room. His words were blunt but inspiring: "Why divide into groups? Forming cliques? There's no need."
His voice was resonant and powerful: "From today on, our entire class is one super-group! No group boundaries, only different divisions of labor!"
"Students who can forge will form the core Forging Group, and I'll lead it."
"Everyone in the Design secondary profession will be led by Gu Yue, consolidating all Battle Armor Design plans."
"Students who can craft and Repair will be coordinated by Luo Guixing and Wu Siduo respectively!"
As soon as these words were spoken, a massive wave of excitement swept through the classroom!
"The whole class as one team?"
"You can do that?"
"Why am I suddenly feeling so fired up?"
Arthur pulled out his Level 6 Forging Master badge and slammed it onto the podium.
"I guarantee that everyone in this class will have their own Battle Armor and graduate successfully."
"I don't care if your Soul Power Rank can handle it at that time."
"Regardless, we'll strive for one set for everyone within two years!"
Hiss!
The whole class went silent.
"One set of Battle Armor for everyone within two years!"
It was unclear who shouted it first, but it instantly ignited the atmosphere of the entire classroom.
The students jumped up from their seats, the confusion and unease in their eyes completely replaced by fanaticism. The applause and cheers were loud enough to blow the roof off.
"Monitor is awesome!"
"A Level 6 Forging Master is just so tough; you're the best!"
"From now on, I'm following the monitor!"
Suddenly, a question cut in: "Whose do we build first?"
However, this question didn't dampen the students' enthusiasm.
"Whose else? The monitor's first! I only look up to the monitor!"
Loyalty! Loyalty!
Arthur shook his head and laughed. "The order is simple: distribution according to work. We won't look at Soul Power Ranks, but at secondary profession Ranks. We'll go piece by piece."
"Those with higher secondary profession Ranks get priority."
"Don't worry about me; I'm fine with whenever."
Arthur actually already had his, but he decided not to say it and ruin the mood.
Looking at the fired-up students, Arthur nodded in satisfaction. These would be his future troops.
