Leon's Hidden Harvest, A Demon Sword
"Alright! There's still some time. Go out for a walk and buy a few beautiful clothes. I will allow you to rest for a day today. Go wherever you want to play."
Leon's voice carried through the quiet guest room of the Whitelist Restaurant.
The room was spacious, warm, and unusually peaceful.
Soft sunlight slipped through the wooden lattice of the window, painting pale golden patterns across the floor. Outside, the distant sounds of Ashford City drifted through the air. Merchants called out from the streets. Carriages rolled across stone roads. Somewhere nearby, a musician was playing a slow melody on a stringed instrument.
For Selena and Rias, those ordinary sounds felt strangely precious.
They had spent so much time cultivating that simple pleasures had almost become distant memories.
A walk through the city.
A few new clothes.
A meal without worrying about cultivation.
A few hours without danger.
It sounded almost extravagant.
