"Why do you not keep these hornless caged?" Wolf Who Chase Bear asked. Her chin was held high, and a slight sneer was plastered across her face. The older, frailer man scratched his beard as he leaned on his staff and looked around his village. He seemed to enjoy his long pauses, or more specifically, the way they grated on her nerves. She tried not to show it. She stared at him, watching the steel chain around his neck sway slightly as he leaned forward on his staff. Oh, how she would love to give every ounce of gold, all the feathers, and even the bow she had on her person for that single steel chain. Though, she'd never admit it.
"We believe that our diversity makes us stronger," the older man said slowly, his eyes returning to Wolf. "Are you not here to trade for their steel?"
