The Heavenly Law Tree
Standing under the tree, Julian felt as small as an ant.
The endless void stretched around him in complete silence. There was no sky above, no earth beneath his feet, only an endless darkness illuminated by the giant tree before him. Its trunk towered upward beyond sight, ancient branches spreading like they were supporting the heavens themselves.
Julian slowly raised his head.
For the first time in a long while, his breathing became uneven.
"What… is this place?"
His voice echoed softly into the void, yet even his own words felt insignificant here.
The giant tree did not answer him.
Yet for some reason, Julian felt as though it was watching him.
The tree radiated a dazzling light, illuminating the entire space.
