"She's naughty," Ziva said suddenly, a small smirk playing on her lips.
Elara turned back to her. Her eyes stayed on Ziva's face for a small second. Then she walked toward her. "Thank you," she muttered quietly.
Ziva frowned and let out a small sigh. "Come on… thank me for what? You're acting like you're the only one in this. Whatever you got into, we're both in it to–"
She didn't get to finish before Elara stepped forward and pulled her into a hug.
Ziva froze instantly, her eyes widening as her hands lifted awkwardly into the air, unsure of where to go.
"Thank you for everything," Elara murmured against her shoulder, her grip tightening slightly.
Ziva's heart started racing. She opened her mouth as if to speak, then closed it again, her thoughts scattering.
After a while, Elara pulled back and stepped away, her usual calm expression slipping back into place like nothing had happened.
