"It'll fade in a few days." Kath'tan was the one to answer, a mix of envy and longing in his eyes as his gaze passed over Caedos.
"…Did you run in the desert?" Dulce kept up the conversation, preferring this to reading through the night.
"Everyday…"
"You look discomfited." Ruoxi tossed at Kath'tan, pulling his attention away from the conversation.
Kath'tan looked the Incubus over, he had had the Vampire all to himself for the past three days but he looked no better. "As do you," He saiid in turn, looking away. He couldn't be more uninterested in whatever the Incubus had to say.
Sunrise came quickly like it was impatient to see them out of the desert, Dulce's room emptying for the first time since his return from the Hells. Nightfall came just as fast, the hired hands riding off into the cooling sunset.
Dulce's brows were marred by a frown, walking to his room after seeing off the servants. Asael still hadn't returned, and they would have to leave soon.
