A father who doesn't remember.
Early the next morning, one of the sports car from yesterday left the mansion, the unknown driver was on a mission.
The sports car stopped at a nursing home, and packed, a man walked towards the car.
"Welcome Sir Lorenzo.
"How is my dad?
"He's okay, just staying quiet as usual.
Lorenzo came down and entered the nursing home with the man, they stopped at a door, the man left, Lorenzo walked in and met his dad watching the sunrise.
"Dad.
The middle aged man turned and looked at Lorenzo.
"Who are you?
"It's me Lorenzo...Renzo your son.
The middle aged man turned back and continued watching the sunrise.
"I had a son before, but he died in a car accident long ago.
Lorenzo kept quiet and watched his dad, his once lively dad now brought down to this all because of one night.
"Let's watch the sunrise more, offered Lorenzo.
Lorenzo made his dad sit properly on his wheelchair then took him downstairs walking around the nursing home. It was peaceful and homely, some nurses caring for the old and sick, some older people were sitting on the bench relaxing under the shade of a tree. At interval Lorenzo stopped and checked his dad, making sure he was comfortable.
"You are kind just like my son, the middle aged man uttered.
"I'm your son, protested Lorenzo.
"No, my son and my daughter died in an accident.
After walking for sometime Lorenzo checked the time and noticed it was time for his dad's treatment. He dropped his dad in his room and left to see the man in charge.
"Take good care of my dad.
"That's not an issue Sir Lorenzo.
"Keep it from my mum, anytime she comes visiting don't make her see him, it will make matters worse.
"Understood Sir.
"I leave my father in your care, take good care of him and make sure he doesn't miss his medication or anything, understood?
"Yes Sir.
Lorenzo gave the man some money then left for home. He got home but met his sister in his room.
"You keep invading my privacy Rena, how did you get my key?
"We are twins, they shouldn't be any secrets between us but that's by the way, where did you go to?
"Somewhere.
"You smell like old people and drugs...wait don't tell me you went to dad's nursing home?
"Don't act like you care.
"I do care about you, you know how cranky mum gets when she finds out you went there.
"He is still our dad.
"Someone who dosen't remember us? He is no longer my dad.
"You sound like mum now.
"She has a point though, what's the need of wasting your time on someone who doesn't remembers you but keep blabbing rubbish?
"You can use the door Lorena.
"Are you chasing me away from your room? Lorena asked in disbelief.
"I'm asking you to leave.
"Alright, Alright, but just heed my advice, stop wasting your time.
"I've heard.
Lorena walked out, Lorenzo locking his door.
"Why is Renzo so stubborn? Lorena wondered hearing the locking sound of the door.
