The incredulousness in her voice as she shouted his name was something that startled the two other ladies in the room.
Rachael stared wide-eyed at him, mouth agape as she turned to look at her surroundings, then shakingly pointed at him. She dropped her hand, turned again, and pointed at him once more. Too speechless, too overwhelmed, the shock was so peak that she couldn't process a single name from her mouth.
It went on for about ten seconds. Miles watched with an interested smile while Carolina was startled by her daughter's outburst and panic-strickenly tried to comfort her.
Aaliyah watched the comical scene and suddenly felt a sense of déjà vu. Similar to those big TV dramas, a big reveal was about to happen.
"Miles? What the fuck are you doing here?"
