The words did not need to be finished. Everyone in the room already understood. Run 5's voice faded into the silence, because the truth had already arrived. The system had increased more than connection. It had crossed a boundary.
Lily stepped back slowly. Her breathing was uneven now—not from fear alone, but from something deeper. Something unfamiliar. "I did not just hear you," she said quietly, her eyes still locked on Alaric. "I understood you… before you even formed the thought." Alaric did not move. Because he felt it too. Not as intrusion. Not as violation. But as… overlap. Like the space between them had thinned.
