Keifer's pov
I was laughing after I read what Jay told me to make Keiren puke those toffees.
Dad " what did she said to make you laugh like that?"
I looked up and dad was looking at me with one eyebrows raised .
Keifer " nothing jay was being funny she told me to make him puke those toffees "
When I said that he raised both of his eyebrows. As if he realised what she said was correct.
Dad " i mean there are 50- 50 chances. We should have made him do it."
He generally agrees with what Jay says. I looked up and I was directly looking at Mr. Mariano. He was also thinking 🤔.
Mr. Mariano " what is happening in your life Watson?"
He looked at dad while asking this question. This is the first time i heard someone talking to dad like that.
Dad " less mess than your life atleast Mariano."
What is happening!? Are they going to argue, if they fight what will happen to me and Jay. I look at Keigan and Keiren they have also stopped eating and we're looking at both of them.
Mr. Mariano " I think we should stop children are getting scared"
He said looking at me.
Dad " dont worry kids, this happens between friends its normal and future in-laws too so don't worry."
Mr. Mariano chokes on the food he was eating when he said future in-laws.
Mr Mariano " what ..... in - laws"
Dad (smirking) " why do you think Jay is messaging Keifer. "
Mr. Mariano looked at me with different feel now.
Just then there was a video call from jay, I clicked accept.
Jay " is Keiren alright? And what are you doing ? And how did you poke the man. Was he frustrated "
Oh my god it love psychopath.
I looked at Mr Mariano and turned my mobile to face him.
Jay (flustered)"... D.....Dad"
Mr. Mariano " My Child. How are you ?"
Jay " I am good dad . But what are you doing with Keifer. How did you meet?"
Mr Mariano " Oh my God (chuckled, he was almost going to cry but covered with a chuckle) so many questions in one go. Dont worry we'll meet soon then you can ask me all questions you want to ask."
Jay " meet soon....?"
We also gave him a questioning look.
Mr. Mariano " Your Kuya Angelo called and he said that we have to behave like family infront of Mr. Whitmore"
Dad " so finally they took my suggestion."
Jay " okay now show me Keiren..."
I looked at Keiren. He was looking very suspicious . Like he has not touched anything on his plate. He was also scrunching his face.
Mr. Mariano " hey champ !! What happened? Are you ok?"
Keiren (giving pressure on his words as if speaking is giving him pain)" my stomach is paining. And I feel like puking"
All of us looked at him seriously.
Jay " why are you all just looking at him . Take him to the hospital. Get the food packed that is on the table. And eat it in the hotel room."
Obviously she will be worried about the food too.
We pick him up. We have already finished more than half of our food. So we left it like that and paid for it.
The doctor was examining him in the hotel room. Now we dont trust anyone here. Mr. Mariano suggested this doctor because he knows him personally.
Doctor " for now I have given him injection for relief from pain . I am taking his blood for testing and please give him these medicines after the effects of the injection ware off. For now only let him drink water. The symptoms mainly point towards food poisoning "
We looked at him shocked . Food poisoning because of some toffees. What the hell!!
I went inside his room . He was sleeping peacefully on the hotel bed.
How can a person be so malicious that he gives drugged toffees to a kid.
Dad " let him sleep . Lets go outside and discuss. What to do."
We go outside so that we dont disturb Keiren.
Mr. Mariano " now tell me what is happening? And how did Jay know that those toffees were spoiled and told him to puke"
Dad " you see.....Mariano...I was given drugs to be extremely aggressive man not just angry. "
Mr. Mariano " angry man would be normal you...."
Are they normally like this.
Dad " whatever....so whatever happened in my personal life or whatever i did in last 10-13 years is because of those drugs. "
Mr. Mariano was listening intently.
Mr. Mariano " and why were they drugging you?"
Dad " because I had a proud father , who used to praise me infront of everyone, and then their father used to compare them with me and they got jealous..that's why "
Mr. Mariano " one would be Azhrael and who is the other person in they"
Dad " Hanamitchi. And his son tried to harm Jay too. Looks like Fernandez also had history with them."
Mr. Mariano looked serious and shocked.
