Kashvi reached the hotel. Krish had already put Kriday to sleep.
As soon as she entered the room, Krish looked at her and asked,
"Where were you?"
"I… I went to meet Ved's mother," Kashvi replied softly.
Krish frowned slightly, confused.
"But didn't his parents get divorced? How did you meet her then?"
Kashvi told him everything—about the meeting, about the past, about the emotions that had resurfaced.
After listening to her, Krish's expression turned serious.
"Kashvi, stay away from Ved and his family. Otherwise, everything you managed to move on from in the last five years will be destroyed."
Kashvi simply nodded.
Without saying anything else, she picked up Kriday in her arms and took him to the room.
The Next Morning
"Mumma, when are we going back home?" Kriday asked innocently.
Kashvi smiled and brushed his hair.
"Why do you want to go home, beta? We're here to enjoy, remember? Today, Krish uncle and I will take you out and show you around."
She then called Krish and suggested they go out with Kriday since there were still five days left before leaving for London.
They decided to go to a park first, then to a mall, spending the entire day with Kriday.
At the park, Kriday was having the time of his life—laughing, running, playing.
Suddenly, he walked up to Kashvi and asked innocently,
"Mumma, all the kids here came with their mumma and papa…
where is my papa, mumma?"
Kashvi froze.
She couldn't say anything. Her eyes filled with sadness.
Seeing her expression, Krish gently took Kriday away from there and started swinging with him, trying to distract him.
Kashvi whispered to herself,
"Should I tell Ved about his child?"
But then the memories came rushing back—
how Ved had tried every possible way to destroy her child.
In his eyes, her baby had died five years ago.
"Then let it stay that way," she thought.
She looked at Krish and Kriday playing together.
They looked genuinely happy.
A soft smile appeared on Kashvi's lips.
"This is the happiness I want to see on your face, Kriday…
but beta, I can't give you the happiness of having a father."
Her heart ached.
Then another thought crossed her mind.
Krish had done so much for her in the last five years.
"Why not turn the lie I told into the truth?
Why not actually marry Krish?"
But fear followed immediately.
What if Krish refused?
She didn't know how deeply Krish loved her.
Another fear haunted her—
"If Krish can love Kriday so much as an uncle…
will he be able to love him the same way as a father?"
