ZWAASSH!!
His spiral knife flashed silver. With a swift and brutal motion, he struck the enemy's weapon. The blade shattered, fragments flying like scattered stars in the snowstorm.
The creature was thrown back, crashing into the snow. Before it could rise, Kaivan leapt high, his body shooting forward like a projectile. He landed on its chest and drove the spiral knife into its head.
CCCHHRRRTTT!!
A horrifying sound echoed as the blade pierced metal and skull. The creature's head tore free, rolling across the ground until it stopped at the feet of the towering giant still standing.
The giant lowered its gaze, staring at the ruined head of its comrade. A heavy growl rose from its chest, like an old diesel engine roaring to life in fury.
"RAAAAAAGHH!!"
It raised its weapon—a tank cannon reforged into a colossal club. With full strength, it charged, each step crushing earth and snow.
Kaivan turned sharply and leapt aside. The club smashed into the ground, blasting snow and debris into the air. Trees split apart under the shockwave.
But Kaivan had already moved to the giant's left side. With a spinning slash, he struck its knee, protected only by a thin metal plate.
CHCHCHKKTTTT!!
The blade pierced through metal and joint, cutting deep. Black blood mixed with oil sprayed violently. The giant roared, losing its balance. Kaivan spun again and struck the other knee.
"ARGHHHH!!"
The five-meter body collapsed, crashing into the ground with a thunderous sound. The impact shook the forest, sending snow falling from the trees, drifting through the air like pale funeral ash.
Kaivan stood tall in the middle of the frozen battlefield, his body drenched in black blood dripping from countless wounds. His only remaining human leg was firmly planted in the icy ground, while his right arm was wrapped in a spiraling bracelet that hissed softly. Mountain winds swept snow and blood into the air, forming small whirlwinds around him.
One of his eyes—still human—glowed red. Not with anger, but with an existence that had crossed the boundary between life and death. He looked like a walking curse, vengeance given flesh. With a low, mocking tone, Kaivan spat to his right.
"Your legs are still intact, aren't they? Then why can't you stand?"
The giant—over five meters tall—ground its teeth. It crawled forward like a wounded beast, carving deep trails into the frozen ground. Snow and debris flew each time its hands struck the surface.
WHUUMMM!!
A fist as large as a steel drum shot forward. Kaivan shifted lightly, just enough to evade the fatal blow. His spiral blade danced like lightning.
CLAAANG!! BRRAAAKK!!
The deafening sound of breaking metal echoed across the field. Part of the creature's arm was torn away, black blood bursting out like steam from a broken engine. The massive body staggered and collapsed, crashing into rocks buried beneath the snow.
Kaivan leapt up and landed on its chest. One arm rose, ready to strike. His gaze was empty yet deep, like a valley of death that swallowed light.
"I'll make you die without wit—"
Before he could finish, the monster's left hand lashed out and grabbed him. The grip crushed his body like a steel press.
"KHHH—!!"
Kaivan hissed as he was lifted and squeezed brutally. With his free hand, he stabbed at the enemy's chest again and again, but the blade bounced off the tank-like armor.
The creature burst into laughter.
"GUAHAHAHA!!"
Its voice echoed through the valley, shattering the mountain's silence.
Kaivan's bones creaked under the pressure, yet his eyes burned brighter. He roared,
"DON'T LOOK DOWN ON ME!!"
The bracelet on his arm flared with light. The spiral blade spun wildly, screaming like a steel drill. He drove it into the monster's chest, right beneath the glowing symbol on its armor.
ZRRRRRTTTTTTTTT!!!
Sparks, metal, and black blood fused into a cloud of scorching mist. The blade pierced through layers of steel, shattering the creature's final defense.
"DIE! DIE! DIE!!"
Kaivan's scream shook the snowstorm itself, becoming an echo of an unextinguishable will. The spiral pierced straight through the enemy's heart.
