"Are you really a human?" He asked as he kept staring at me, his eyes still so intense, it felt like they were stripping me bare and that he could see my thoughts.
"Yes, I- I am." I responded quietly after a few seconds, still finding it hard to breathe because he was still standing close to me, his scent filling up every inch of my lungs and chest. This particular question, why was I being asked it frequently these days?
It's so obvious that I'm human, isn't it?
His eyes narrowed as he kept watching me, then he spoke. "Are you certain? If you're lying to me and I find out—"
The threat was left unsaid but it still made my heart clench tightly from fear just as I nodded fast that my teeth rattled.
"I- I'm telling the truth, I swear." I cried out but he didht seem like he believed me.
"Humans aren't supposed to have scents, but you hand one." He pointed out and my eyes widened.
