"Darling, I just made this. Drink it while it's warm."
Louis held the cup of milk and gently offered it to Alita.
"Stop it. I'm not a little cub anymore. Why do I still have to drink Star Dew Milk every night?"
Alita leaned back on a sapphire-blue chaise, her long, cat-like tail twitching back and forth in irritation.
"The doctor said this is a special formula to help my little princess stabilize her power."
Louis knelt on the chaise, his long fingers grazing her flushed cheek. His voice was cloyingly sweet:
"You used your bloodline power today. If you don't drink this, you'll have to stay in the Treatment Chamber for a few more days."
Alita wrinkled her nose and reluctantly took the cup. "You always use the Treatment Chamber to scare me."
Muttering, she tilted her head back and drained the cup.
In less than a minute, her lively cat-like eyes hazed over, and her body went limp, slumping into Louis's arms.
"Good girl, darling!"
