"Then hurry up."
The young man knew not to push too hard.
Mishiro Ara immediately called to the counter, "Shopkeeper, another bowl of noodles, please."
A moment later, a steaming, fragrant bowl of noodles was brought out. Several slices of half-finger-thick, marbled meat lay atop the coiled noodles, and chopped scallions floated in the clear broth. The sight alone was mouth-watering.
He immediately lifted the bowl, picked up a slice of meat, and placed it in his mouth, savoring it slowly. After letting out a sigh of contentment, he began to slurp the noodles with relish.
But after one bowl came another, and then another...
Watching the bowls by the table stack higher and higher, the young man grew impatient. "Why can't you just order more at once? Why order them one bowl at a time?"
"Ah, please be patient."
Mishiro Ara replied, "I don't know how many bowls I'm going to eat. Besides, if I order them in advance, they'll get cold, and the flavor won't be as good."
