He shifted his hands slightly and felt the woman's slender waist beneath them. Her leg was draped over his, and her arms were wrapped around him like an octopus.
Javier Sinclair's gaze swept over her face as his fingers toyed with a lock of her hair. An unreadable emotion flickered across his perpetually cold expression.
Gazing at the person in his arms, Javier Sinclair carefully moved her hands and leg off of him. Then, his figure vanished from the bed, leaving only a wisp of black energy drifting in the air.
