The Demon Cultivators holding them back slapped them a few times across the face. Each one felt like they were about to meet their maker.

these people were black and blue.
Two of them had bones broken outright.

If this kept up, they were going to be beaten to death. 'How could we have ever thought these Demon Cultivators were easy targets just because there were few of them? If we had known, we never would have provoked them.' For the first time, they truly felt their lives slipping away.
"Stop... AHHH..."
"It hurts so much..."
Hearing them beg for mercy, Celeste Grant gave a faint smile and said, "Begging already? Where did all that arrogance from before go? I much preferred your untamable spirit from earlier."
Celeste Grant gave a small wave of her hand. "That's enough for now. With their faces covered in blood, they look truly pathetic."
