Thorne's expression suddenly turned grim, his eyes dark and unreadable.
Elias Moretti squinted at the two of them and said coldly, "Gable will not be going to your tribe with you. Based on the little friendship you have with Thorne, why should the Grymdale Tribe get involved in this mess? That's a plague! A curse!"
He was currently the acting leader of the Grymdale Tribe, so there was no way he would let Gable go with him.
Lachlan's hollow eyes were like a long, boundless night.
He didn't press the issue, however. He simply nodded, his voice ethereal. "Fine."
With that, he turned to leave, his voice carrying back over his shoulder. "Thorne, we've known each other for a while. Since you can't get the Witch to perform the ritual, then promise me this: find Evangeline, and kill her."
