Two days was enough time to change many things.
The grain shops in the East and West Markets closed their doors. At first, rumors spread that they had complete disregard for the lives of the common people, provoking an infuriated mob to swarm the shops. However, they indeed found no grain. The storefronts were thoroughly smashed to pieces, along with the staff, accountants, and Shopkeepers inside. After inspecting the scene, the Government Office realized that catching the culprits was a lost cause. They simply made excuses about being too busy, overtly and covertly cursing those merchants as having gotten what they deserved.
