「The next day」
"The event is starting today. Stop sleeping and get up," Su Qi called out.
Jiang Zuo wasn't actually asleep. Late last night, he realized he was about to level up—not from Tier 2.5 to 2.6, but straight from 2.5 to 2.7.
In fact, he'd had this feeling ever since sealing the Master of Curses.
He had simply suppressed it, but the feeling was much more obvious now.
Under pressure from Su Qi last night, his suppression had nearly slipped.
That was why he'd woken up early to suppress his Cultivation. He should be able to hold on for a little while longer.
Thankfully, this wasn't a major breakthrough for Crossing the Tribulation; otherwise, it would have easily triggered a Celestial Tribulation.
But speaking of Cultivation, Su Qi was the truly terrifying one. It seemed she was also about to level up, and unlike him, she hadn't been cultivating at all. It was as if advancement was simply inevitable for her.
