After a period of flight, Kunlin returned to Wing Beast City.
As Kunlin approached the palace, he heard Yaya's crying shouts.
"I don't want you! I want to find my mother! I want to play with my brothers and sisters!"
Yaya broke free from Huang Yue's grasp and dashed toward the main gate, only to be scooped up by a large, powerful hand just as she was about to run out.
Yaya looked up and saw Kunlin's face.
"Yaya, your father is back."
Yaya's eyes lit up. She craned her neck to look behind Kunlin. "Father, is Mother back? Did she come home?"
Kunlin's expression darkened as he recalled the state of Huang Ying's corpse. "No. She has her own things to do."
At his words, the light in Yaya's eyes dimmed, and she slumped listlessly onto Kunlin's shoulder.
Kunlin handed her over to the older female who cared for her. "Take Yaya to play for now."
"Yes."
After Yaya left, Kunlin walked up to Huang Yue. "City Lord."
Compared to a few days ago, Huang Yue looked much more haggard.
