Ian Sinclair was the first to notice Mia Grant was awake.
"Baby!"
The young man couldn't contain the surprise and joy in his voice. Realizing he'd been too loud, he called to her again in a softer tone.
"You're awake?"
Mia Grant's eyes were vacant. She stared at the ceiling, lost in thought, as if she hadn't heard him.
He was about to call to her again, but Felix Sinclair stopped him.
Felix had already pressed the call button.
Mia underwent an examination while she was still unconscious.
The doctors were somewhat at a loss; they still hadn't found the cause of her condition.
She had genuinely coughed up blood, but the tests hadn't revealed any major problems.
When Mia Grant came to her senses, the people in the hospital room were gone.
Only Ian Sinclair remained.
She blinked gently. At the sight, Ian's eyes lit up. "Baby."
