Mia Grant refused without a second thought.
Simon Adler knew she wouldn't agree, so he wasn't surprised.
"Then there's nothing we can do for now. Let's wait and see what Simon finds. He's already trying to get to the other staff on the medical team, but the chances aren't great."
Simon Adler rattled on, but Mia Grant didn't hear a single word.
Seeing she had no reaction, her glistening eyes, dark and bright, stared straight at him as if searching for something.
Simon Adler waved a hand in front of her eyes. "Hey, are you listening to me?"
"Nope."

Mia Grant snapped out of it, stroking her chin as she circled him.
Feeling a bit strange, Simon Adler turned uncomfortably, his gaze tracking her as she circled.
"What are you doing?"
"That suggestion you just made... I don't think it's a bad idea after all."
'Just now?'
'What suggestion?'
Simon Adler tried to recall. "Didn't you just say no? Are you willing to give him up?"
