Li Baoyu's shot missed the roe deer, but on the opposite slope, a cacophony of dog barks erupted.
And they sounded exceptionally vicious.
"Give me the gun!" Zhao Jun reached out and pressed down on Li Baoyu's arm. Li Baoyu was a bit dazed, and Zhao Jun didn't give him a chance to raise the gun again.

With the gun in hand, Zhao Jun raised it and aimed, spotting a massive wild boar on the opposite slope. It was powerfully built, a full size larger than a bull.
Surrounding it were five hunting dogs!
One yellow, one white, one blue-gray, and two black dogs.
And in the instant Zhao Jun's eyes fell upon the battlefield, the five hounds switched from skirmishing to an all-out assault, suddenly lunging at the boar in unison.
