A series of calls came from the outside world. Zhang Deming no longer hesitated, flying directly out of the Spirit Nurturing Technique's Rune Ball space and leaving his Dantian.
"Senior Brother? Senior Brother? Senior Brother Zhang!"
"Hm? Ah, what is it?" Zhang Deming was pulled back to his senses by Pei Xiaoxiao's calls.
"What is it? I should be the one asking what's wrong! You were walking along, then you suddenly froze and started giggling like an idiot. I almost thought you'd lost your mind!" Pei Xiaoxiao said, exasperated.
"Oh, it's nothing. I just remembered something. Let's keep going," Zhang Deming said evasively.
"Oh!" Pei Xiaoxiao replied. After walking a short distance, she turned back and saw that Zhang Deming was frozen to the spot. She called out, "Are we still going? Can you hurry up?"
Zhang Deming said awkwardly, "I'm afraid we can't go today."
Pei Xiaoxiao looked utterly confused. "Why?"
