Zeng Wenxi single-handedly organized the engagement party.
She only had one son. Whenever she got together with her old friends, she'd have to listen to them drone on about how their kids had found wonderful girlfriends, were so handsome, or had amazing jobs. Zeng Wenxi was tired of it.
Fortunately, the family had some money to spare. This party had to be treated as a major event, and it had to be a grand and splendid affair.
This was good, too. It saved Shen Xin a lot of trouble.
But as they went through with it, Shen Xin discovered it wasn't so trouble-free after all.
There were quite a few miscellaneous things to take care of.
But there was a pleasant surprise, too.
It came during the dress fitting, when he saw Ding Yuwei in a red formal gown.
It wasn't even her wedding dress, but Shen Xin was still stunned by her beauty.
"Shen Xin, you lucky dog," one of his childhood friends who came along said with envy.
Yang Zeran and Zhao Tianxing had also returned to Nanjiang.
