After shaking off the middle-aged man, Zhang Jiaxin and Xu Yun walked out of the fitness center. She let go of his arm.
'Compared to that middle-aged man, at least Xu Yun isn't repulsive. And he's handsome—a pretty decent guy, all things considered.'
She smiled and said, "Thank you for what you did back there."
"No problem. I just have to speak up when I see injustice."
Xu Yun added teasingly, "I can't stand classless men like that either."
"To thank you, how about I treat you to dinner?"
"That's not necessary."
Xu Yun declined. "I'll just eat at home."
"Alright then." Zhang Jiaxin hadn't expected to be rejected after she'd been the one to invite him to dinner.
However, this just went to show that he hadn't bought her sessions to hit on her; he genuinely wanted to work out.
Xu Yun asked casually, "Do you live far from here?"
"It's not too bad. It's just over half an hour by bus or subway."
