Xiang Liang and Qiao Yu, who had just entered the First Courtyard's territory, were somewhat surprised.
"They changed the rules? And to a team battle, no less." Xiang Liang frowned. "This is good for the top-ranked people; the strong will team up with the strong, and the weak with the weak. Qiao Yu sighed as well. "To think I even arranged for someone to teach him a lesson. I wonder if he knew the situation beforehand and used it to turn the tables, just to mess with us."
Xiang Liang nodded. "That's certainly possible. Anyone from the Seventh Courtyard who can make it to this assessment is no simpleton."
Neither of them cared much.
It was just a casual little scheme. If they got to see Jiang Man stumble, great. If not, it was no great loss.
It didn't delay their progress.
