"Huh?" Michelle Fuller was completely baffled. "Why not?"
Renee Jennings whispered, "A girl's hair tie is a boy's ring. Evan Shepherd told me that, too."
Michelle Fuller: "..."
Her eyes suddenly widened. "Are you serious?"
Renee Jennings nodded, her expression grim. "And at the time, I actually thought it was romantic."
Michelle Fuller: "What?!"
Renee Jennings brought a hand to her forehead. "All part of my embarrassing past."
Michelle Fuller frowned, sensing there was more to the story. "Their lines are identical. Did they learn from the same master or something?"
Renee Jennings's gaze fell back on the man, her eyes cold. "In any case, they're both bad news."
"The Cheesie cat near him says he's already used that line on at least ten girls."
Just as Renee Jennings finished speaking, she noticed the Cheesie cat looking in their direction.
