Shepherd was glad he was wearing a mask and sunglasses so the audience wouldn't see how distraught and panicked he was.
Although he'd claimed it was impossible for his girlfriend to have a daughter, he had been watching Renee's stream for so long and had never seen her be wrong.
So, there was a high probability that Bella really was Sophie's daughter.
"May," Renee called softly. "Why do you say Bella is Sophie's daughter? Doesn't she call Sophie 'big sister'?"
"That's right!" May stared at the human on the screen, her furry face full of seriousness. "Bella doesn't know she's Sophie's daughter. The adults told her to call her 'big sister,' so she does."
"I see." Renee nodded and asked, "Then what about Bella's father? Where did he go?"
