When Sophie Wexler ended her stream and came out of the study, she found Cillian Forrest staring at her.
Sophie Wexler: ?
'What's wrong? Hasn't he been ignoring me for the past few days? Why is he suddenly staring at me like this?'
'Did my singing just now bother him?'
"What's wrong? Why are you looking at me like that?"
Sophie Wexler felt like she was being scrutinized. Finally, Cillian Forrest spoke. "Are you... really F-level?"
Sophie Wexler nodded. "Yep. The real deal."
'The original owner's test results from her awakening are still in my room.'
"Why does everyone keep asking me that? Is being F-level so strange? It's just a bit low, not like I've committed a crime," Sophie Wexler muttered under her breath. "Does everyone really need to keep reminding me?"
Cillian Forrest knew she had misunderstood him, but in the end, he didn't explain.
He wasn't sure what was going on with Sophie Wexler, but he was certain of one thing: she was definitely not just a simple, ordinary F-level Healer-class.
When his spiritual power went rampant, the soothing from an F-level Healer-class should have been completely ineffective. And yet, the last time it happened, it was Sophie Wexler who had managed to calm it down.
Moreover, this time he had clearly felt his rampaging spiritual power ease while she was singing.
But for now, this was all just his speculation. He couldn't draw any firm conclusions.
"Is there anything else?" Sophie Wexler asked when he didn't say anything. "If not, I'm going to get some rest."
When Cillian Forrest didn't respond, she just turned and left. She was too exhausted today. Whatever weird fit he was suddenly having, she had no energy to deal with it.
Cillian Forrest watched as Sophie Wexler finished washing up and went back into her room. He didn't look away until the door closed.
He then opened his Light Brain again, closed the files from his previous search, and typed in a new query: Sophie Wexler.
He wanted to know what the connection was between her singing and its soothing effect.
The results were almost entirely negative press: claims that she was spoiled and arrogant, malicious, and a notorious troublemaker. On top of that, her professional skills were supposedly terrible. None of it was useful.
Cillian Forrest didn't find what he was looking for, so he decided to try different keywords.
Singing livestream, soothing.
This time, a new streamer from the entertainment section popped up.
The comment section below was packed with discussions about her.
[This new streamer's channel is insane. Her singing is amazing.]
[Yeah, yeah! I heard it can soothe your Spiritual Sea, too.]
[Stop spreading that rumor. The streamer said herself that it can't soothe your Spiritual Sea.]
[She might have said that on stream, but I really do feel like my Spiritual Sea has calmed down a bit.]
[I'm a D-level, right in the middle of my Disorder Period. I really think I felt the turbulence weaken a little, but I'd need to use an instrument to be sure.]
Cillian Forrest read through the comments one by one, then clicked on a recording of the livestream that a user had posted.
A singing voice drifted from the Light Brain. Without a doubt, it was Sophie Wexler.
Cillian Forrest focused on his Spiritual Sea. There was a subtle change—a flow of energy so faint he wouldn't have noticed it if he hadn't been actively looking for it.
But compared to hearing the song live just a moment ago, the soothing effect from the video was minuscule.
This meant that the screen, as a medium, significantly weakened the soothing effect. In fact, in this user's recording, the flow of energy was virtually nonexistent.
That's why the viewers on the livestream felt a sense of comfort and change, but it wasn't pronounced enough to be certain. It explained their doubts about that "is it there or isn't it" feeling.
But regardless, one thing was certain: Sophie Wexler's singing did indeed have a soothing effect.
'So, is someone like her really just an ordinary, F-level Healer-class?'
