Murphy gently laid Aurora on the soft bed, gazing at her flushed cheeks and the fine beads of sweat on her forehead.
He carefully tucked her in, an indescribable sense of satisfaction welling up inside him.
Suddenly, Aurora slowly opened her eyes. When her gaze focused on Murphy's face, her azure eyes instantly softened, rippling with tenderness.
"Do you want to continue?" Murphy asked in a low voice.
Aurora quickly closed her eyes, her long eyelashes trembling slightly. "No, I'm tired. I want to sleep."
Murphy smiled.
He understood then that Aurora must have noticed something. Purely from a physical standpoint, with her constitution as a Knight's Attendant, it was impossible for her to feel this tired.
But they both knew without saying a word. It was a silent understanding unique to them.
With her eyes still closed, Aurora whispered, "Kiss me."
Murphy leaned down and planted a gentle kiss on her smooth forehead.
