The Little Red Carp was pale and motionless, her eyes shut as she remained unconscious.
"Little Red Carp, what's wrong?" Tears streamed down Zhao Nuanyue's face in her panic. If the Little Red Carp were a normal child, she could have taken her to the hospital, but she wasn't.
No matter how Zhao Nuanyue called her name, the Little Red Carp didn't respond.
Zhao Nuanyue was at a complete loss, unsure what to do. All she could do was sit by the bed and hold the Little Red Carp's hand.
Zhao Nuanyue clasped her hands together, praying to the heavens and the Old Dragon King for help.
"Please, heavens. Please, Old Dragon King. Save the Little Red Carp," Zhao Nuanyue pleaded. She remembered the Little Red Carp had once said there was Dragon Energy in the direction of the Imperial City, so she turned that way and began to kowtow, her attitude one of utter devotion.
Whether it would work or not, Zhao Nuanyue felt she had to do *something*.
