Prey like wild boars was far more delicious than Two-legged Beasts.
Walking to the edge of the pit, the Gray Wolf Demon looked at the wild boars within, then at the quiet stockade. It suddenly stopped, seeming to hesitate.
Everyone was tense to the breaking point.
If the Gray Wolf Demon didn't take the bait, the hunt could not continue.
Their only option would be to shoot their arrows together and try to scare the Wolf Demon away.
If that happened, they would have to return to their days of living in constant fear, stuck on the defensive.
Fortunately, the Wolf Demon ultimately couldn't resist the temptation of the wild boars, nor did it notice the sharp wooden stakes hidden under the branches in the pit.
It soon made its move, leaping into the pit. Its front claws were like hooks as it viciously swiped at a boar, opening its great maw to bite down on the pig's neck.
