Seeing her gasping for breath, Chu Shenyu kissed her hard, punishingly biting her lip. "Do you have any idea how much you scared me!"
Zhu Yun looked at him, completely bewildered.
Chu Shenyu gritted his teeth. "When you got into an accident and were sent to the hospital, a well-meaning family had their kid run to my office to give me the message."
"The message got to me fast, but who knows how many mouths it passed through. By the time I heard the story, it was that you'd been pushed down, endangering the baby. They said you were rushed to the hospital, leaving a trail of blood on the ground, and that things looked so bad it was going to be one body, two lives lost!"
When he heard that, he nearly collapsed. He sprinted all the way to the hospital, his legs feeling like jelly, completely forgetting that vehicles even existed.
Zhu Yun instantly flew into a rage. "Which jinx said that? Who curses people like that for fun?"
