"How long have you two been together? You hid it so well. We work with you every day and had no idea," Head Nurse Holloway continued, as the other nurses perked up their ears to listen in.
Erin Lowell answered honestly, her face flushing slightly. "We're not together."
Head Nurse Holloway gave her a look that said, *Yeah, right. I'll just watch you play dumb.* "He's exactly my type. If he weren't yours, I'd make a move myself. A relationship with a younger guy is pretty tempting."
Head Nurse Holloway was turning twenty-nine this year. She was pretty, but her standards were a little high, and she hadn't yet found anyone who caught her eye.
Erin Lowell looked up and stared at her, a murderous glint in her eyes.
Head Nurse Holloway instantly felt a premonition of her impending doom and backpedaled in a panic. "Actually, a relationship with a younger guy isn't all that great."
Erin Lowell leveled a death glare at her. "You like him?"
"I have no intention of robbing the cradle."
