Drew Thorne nodded in understanding and glanced at Silas Sinclair.
"Brother Sinclair, we'd like to visit the crime scene."
Silas Sinclair remembered what the chief had said and nodded.
"Of course. I'll have an officer accompany you. The area has been cordoned off, and you probably won't be allowed in without the proper authorization."
Drew Thorne nodded. He was more than happy with this arrangement.
The two of them followed the officer out of the police station. Just then, Jane Sterling's phone suddenly rang.
It was a call from Joy Fischer.
"Jane, how is everything?"
Joy Fischer sounded anxious. She and Julian Grant had been close since they were kids; they were childhood friends.
He was suddenly embroiled in a murder scandal, and as his childhood friend, she was quite worried.
Jane Sterling tried to calm her fears.
"Don't worry, he should be released in a few more hours."
Hearing this, Joy Fischer finally let out a sigh of relief.
