Chapter 114 - Chapter 116: Fallen Battle Sisters

Normally, Battle Sister Power Armor featured majestic color schemes like bright red and gold, adorned with sacred patterns symbolizing the Ecclesiarchy and prayers to the Emperor.

Kenmei had asked the four of them to "tone it down," but unexpectedly, these Battle Sisters brazenly displayed the power of the Chaos God even more.

Consequently, their Power Armor now reeked of an ominous, fallen aura.

Most notably, the white armor began to melt away like ice and snow, transforming into ominous purple-black armor that exposed large areas of white skin.

They had been covered up tight just a moment ago, but now they were showing it all off openly.

While they looked seductive, they also carried a dashing and heroic air.

Generally, the Imperium's Battle Sisters were symbols of sanctity and loyalty. Their short silver hair was striking. However, under the influence of Slaanesh's power, their lips turned an incredibly vivid crimson, and their blue pupils seemed filled with a pink, bewitching light.

"Ah, this..."

Kenmei looked at the four fallen sisters who had undergone a major transformation and revealed a helpless smile.

What could he say? He could only admit that the Chaos Gods really understood men.

"First a traitor to the Inquisition, now fallen Battle Sisters. This C-Rank Simulation is quite lively."

Kenmei felt a strange emotion. Did he poke a hornet's nest of heretics?

As for whether he might have misjudged them?

He was an Inquisitor. If he couldn't even distinguish the aura of a Chaos God, he might as well retire early. However, it was rare for Kenmei to encounter two such situations at once—scenarios other Inquisitors might not see in a lifetime.

The Inquisition and the Orders Militant of the Adepta Sororitas were supposed to be the Emperor's most loyal servants. It was absurd that internal personnel would defect to Chaos.

Especially the Battle Sisters. They were formerly known as the "Daughters of the Emperor" (Brides of the Emperor) and possessed unparalleled faith in Him. Their greatest source of strength lay in their unwavering conviction!

Kenmei knew the Imperium of Man was teetering on the brink, but he hadn't expected traitors to appear within such core secret organizations.

The fallen Battle Sister squad continued their firepower assault, as if waiting for Kenmei's psychic energy to run out.

But soon, he would show them what true endurance meant.

Kenmei smiled. He gripped the handle of his chainsword, and the blade soon began to shimmer with a dazzling, pale blue psychic glow.

"Well, this might be the meaning of our existence as Inquisitors."

As Kenmei tightened his grip, the motor hidden within the handle revved madly, emitting a buzzing roar. Supported by psychic power, the teeth on the blade cut through the air at high speed, producing a terrifying shriek.

"Using bolters and chainswords to physically enforce the Emperor's will."

Kenmei held the chainsword horizontally in front of him in a charging stance and fearlessly launched an assault against the storm of metal before him.

The thin atmosphere couldn't hinder Kenmei's agile movements. Using his legs to generate explosive force, the ground he stepped on caved in several centimeters deep.

"He's coming! Sisters!"

"Shoot! Fire! The Great God will witness our bravery!"

At the Battle Sister squad leader's roar, they brought out not just faster-firing bolters, unleashing a denser hail of bullets, but one Battle Sister even pulled out a flamer capable of melting Imperial tank armor!

An unbelievable dragon of fire appeared on Kenmei's path forward. The terrifying heat released continuously scorched the crystalline ground, causing the strange and beautiful patterns that had appeared decades ago to re-emerge.

But what was terrifying was that no matter how fierce the Battle Sister squad's firepower was, or how many degrees hotter the flames became, nothing could hinder Kenmei's charging attack. All attacks were nullified by the psychic barrier, unable to harm Kenmei inside.

How much psychic capacity does this guy have?! The Battle Sisters grew more alarmed as they fought.

Swish, swish, swish.

Protected by the psychic shield, Kenmei moved fast enough to tear through the airflow in front of him. The Battle Sisters only felt the shrill wind in their ears, like the low growl of a devil. In the next moment, their vision was completely filled with white blades.

The first thing to explode was the flamer. This weapon was an absolute artifact for one-versus-many scenarios, like fighting Orks, capable of turning living beings into ash.

With a single swing of his blade, Kenmei left several white slash marks on the nozzle that was spewing flames.

But that Battle Sister didn't realize it yet. Seeing Kenmei practically "sticking" to her face, she finally reacted, attempting to draw her own chainsword to engage the Inquisitor in melee combat.

Clang! The long blade struck the Power Armor, sending sparks flying several meters high.

Kenmei frowned. He had clearly struck a bare, smooth arm.

But sensing the resistance, he realized that although it looked empty, there was actually an invisible layer of armor protecting it.

It was something like optical camouflage. Kenmei increased his psychic output, instantly adding significant penetration power to the chainsword.

As Kenmei's chainsword teeth sank into the arm, the Battle Sister was visibly stunned for a moment. Her Power Armor had been blessed by the Great God!

Just as she tried to pull out her chainsword to brawl with the Inquisitor, Kenmei moved faster. His left hand pulled out his bolt pistol and fired several shots into the chest of the person in front of him.

Kenmei had a slightly strange expression on his face. Looking at the nun's expression of shame and anger, he pulled the trigger without hesitation.

This sister was carrying a fuel tank on her back. An explosion at close range would be very dangerous. So, while firing and pulling out his sword, Kenmei gathered blue psychic energy in his legs and delivered a fierce side kick.

Kenmei had no intention of being gentle. The force he used was so great that the fallen sister's Slaaneshi Power Armor instantly cracked, revealing the slender waist beneath.

Boom!

The sudden eruption of flames instantly swallowed the unlucky sister whose chest had been pierced by Kenmei, the bullet subsequently penetrating the fuel tank and causing the explosion. The searing firelight illuminated the cheeks of the remaining four... no, three.

Because Kenmei had used the force of the explosion to deliver a clean, decisive strike, decapitating another fallen sister's beautiful head.

Now, the headless corpse was bleeding profusely from the severed neck, before falling to the ground along with the head that had just landed.

Kenmei demonstrated the superb skill of an Inquisitor of the Ordo Hereticus. He stomped on the rolling head that stared with dead, open eyes, crushing it. The chainsword in his hand was steaming from the tainted blood.

Kenmei's face was splattered with the blood of the fallen sister. He wiped it off with his thumb.

The two remaining fallen sisters whom Kenmei hadn't had time to kill gulped as they watched their companions—one beheaded with no corpse left intact, the other blown into chunks of meat.

"Why is it that we are the ones blessed, yet this Inquisitor looks like he's been blessed by some even more powerful Chaos God?"
