Raymond locked his gaze onto the massive monitor inside his command center. He unlocked his phone and pulled up, pulling up a number he almost never called, before before pressing Call.
The connection established almost instantly. "Hello."
"Yes?" a deep, gravelly voice answered from the other end.
"The designated timeline has expired," Raymond asserted without preamble, his tone dropping into a freezing register. "I expect you will not default on the terms you outlined."
"Naturally not. Do you want the results now?"
"I wouldn't forfeit a single fraction of my time contacting you, Dad, if I didn't need the final results."
A low, patronizing chuckle vibrated through the receiver. "Cunning as always."
"Yes. Now, what is the outcome? I require the intelligence data immediately."
"First, what are you prepared to trade in exchange for the information your father is about to volunteer, Raymond?"
