Pulling on a decent-smelling black turtleneck and exchanging his pants for surprisingly unstained white straight-leg jeans, Yuji stepped out of the apartment with the wallet in his front pocket. Haruto looked him over with an odd look that Yuji couldn't interpret. Why is he looking at me the way my girlfriend does when I wear a tight shirt?
From this impulsive thought, he realised he must have had a girlfriend in his past life. Poor girl must be mourning him, and he couldn't even remember her name! If only he could understand how to access the system, he could work on figuring out how to unlock his memories of her.
"Let's go, Yuji," Haruto's voice cut through his thoughts.
"Ah, yes." They walked a short distance to the internet cafe in a comfortable silence. Haruto smiled as he paid for everything, including an iced coffee for himself and an iced jasmine tea for Yuji.
"Mmm, this is really good!" Yuji sipped the drink as he sat next to Haruto at the desktops.
"I know, it's your favorite," Haruto smirked. "You think I don't pay attention to you?"
"Haha," Yuji laughed awkwardly at another display of familiarity he couldn't reciprocate. The two neighbors must have been best friends before the man's body got usurped.
Opening the web browser, Haruto said, "Okay, let's check our emails at the same time. My manager said the show released the audition results today, so I waited to see them together."
Yuji opened up the email, signing in.
[Autofilling account information.]
His fingers autonomously typed the information as if it were muscle memory. An email labelled as being from The Court of Jurisu sat in his inbox.
"Let's open it together?"
Haruto counted down to the second when they both opened the email.
Instead of reading the email, a system notification popped up.

"Oh my gosh! I got in!" Haruto leaned over to Yuji's screen. "And you did, too! I'm so proud of you! Now we can both be idols together like we wanted!" He took Yuji's hand, which rested over the computer's mouse, and squeezed it.
Only one thought resided in Yuji's mind: The Final Wish is to be an idol?!
