Chapter 84 - Chapter 84- The First Kiss

The mansion was quiet, the evening settling into a calm that barely masked the tension from the previous days. Hazel carried a stack of documents she had collected from Ryan's office—information about pack strategy and threats connected to the Eclipse Heir prophecy.

She hesitated outside Ryan's room. She hadn't expected him to be here, and yet something told her he wasn't just sitting idly. Taking a deep breath, she opened the door slightly.

And froze.

Ryan stepped out of the bathroom, a towel wrapped around his waist. Water droplets glistened on his skin, his raven-black hair still damp. He hadn't noticed her yet, and Hazel's cheeks burned hotter than she thought possible.

"Uh… I just—" Hazel stammered, turning to put the documents down, trying not to look at him, but her eyes betrayed her.

Ryan's dark eyes caught hers immediately, a slow, knowing smile spreading across his face. "You didn't have to come in, Hazel," he murmured, voice low and teasing, though something softer laced it.

Hazel's pulse raced. "I… I needed to—check on the pack strategy. For the Eclipse Heir…" she trailed off, heat climbing her neck as she felt his gaze sweep over her.

Ryan took a step closer, towel barely concealing him, and the world seemed to shrink until it was only them. "Hazel," he whispered, dark and intense, "you've been so close, yet so far. I can't… ignore this anymore."

Hazel's breath caught. Her heart raced, every instinct screaming at her, both fear and desire intertwining. "Ryan…" she started, but her voice faltered.

He closed the distance between them, one hand resting lightly on the desk behind her, the other brushing a damp strand of hair from his forehead. Hazel felt the pull of his presence—magnetic, undeniable, claiming—but this time, it wasn't about marking. It was purely about them.

And then he leaned in.

Hazel barely had time to react before their lips met, soft at first, testing, hesitant—but then the world fell away. Her hands trembled at his shoulders, heart hammering as the intensity of the kiss deepened, flames of desire and connection igniting between them.

Ryan pulled back slightly, just enough to let their foreheads touch. "Hazel," he murmured, voice rough with emotion. "I've claimed you in every way I can, but… this… I want you to feel it too."

Hazel's chest rose and fell rapidly. Her lips tingled from the kiss, and for the first time, she realized how much she wanted to belong fully to him, even without a mark, even without words.

"I… I feel it," she whispered, fingers curling into his towel just slightly, pulling him closer. "I… belong to you too, Ryan."

A slow smile tugged at his lips. "Good," he murmured, pressing another, softer kiss to her forehead, lingering just long enough for the warmth to sink in.

Outside the door, the world remained quiet. Inside, two souls connected for the first time in a kiss that spoke of claim, desire, and unspoken promises—the start of something far deeper than either had anticipated.
