The address Torres provided was in Manhattan. The Upper East Side. A high-rise building full of investment firms and law firms.
"Floor thirty-two," Torres said, pulling up building schematics. "Registered to Thornton Strategic Consulting. On paper, they're a legitimate risk management firm. Dig deeper, and they're a front for something else entirely."
"What kind of something else?" Luca asked.
"The kind that operates in shadows. No criminal record because they're too smart to get caught. They broker deals between organizations, criminal, corporate, sometimes even governmental.
They're facilitators. Middlemen who never get their hands dirty."
"And they want Isabella," Sienna said, studying the building layout.
