"I punished her," he said. His voice was warm. Casual. The voice of a man discussing a minor chore. "I already told you. Why are you so repeating?"

She saw her sister's face. The eyes were rolled back. The cheeks were wet with tears. The mouth was stretched by the invisible gag. The expression was not human. It was the face of a woman who had been fucked into silence. Who had been marked. Who had been owned.
