Chapter 13 - CHAPTER -13

Panicked, I grabbed a glass of water from the nearby table and splashed it on her face. She regained consciousness, opened her eyes, and sat there looking dull, staring silently at the floor.

"Hey, what happened? Why are you so dull now? Until a moment ago, you were boldly giving him a piece of your mind, and now you're acting like you've taken a vow of silence? What's wrong with you?" I asked, patting her shoulder as I stood up.

Suddenly, she fainted again, collapsing right onto the table. "Oh my god! Vini, what happened?!" I shook her and called her name, but she didn't wake up. Terrified, I ran toward the "Monster's" CEO cabin to inform him.

I barged into the cabin without his permission. The Monster and Sri Sir seemed to be in the middle of a serious discussion. But I ignored that and shouted, "Sir!" so loudly that the whole company could hear as I entered.

"Hey, you brain less girl ! Do you have any sense? Can't you see we are in a serious discussion? Are your eyes in the back of your head? Is the world coming to an end that you're screaming like a loudspeaker?"

The Monster roared as he rose from his seat, taking massive, angry strides toward me like monster . My heart started racing; I couldn't utter a single word out of fear. I kept stepping backward until my back hit the wall. Realizing there was no escape and fearing he might hit me, I reflexively covered my face with both hands and squeezed my eyes shut.

He was barely an inch away from me. "Hey, brain less ! Open your eyes!" he commanded me.

I didn't move. I stayed in the same position. "Hey, are you going to open your eyes respectfully or not?" he asked again.

"You won't hit me, right, Sir?" I asked innocently, still trembling with my eyes closed.

"No, I won't. Just open your eyes first," he said.

"Promise, Sir?" I asked him again, refusing to budge.

"Listen, if you don't open your eyes right now, even I don't know what I'll do to you. Think about it," he warned in a deep, heavy base voice.

Terrified of what he might do, I slowly lowered my hands and opened my eyes. My heart skipped a beat—he had me pinned against the wall, his arms locked on either side of me, staring intensely into my eyes.

I was speechless, staring back at him in silence and fear.

"Why did you come here?" he asked in that same deep voice.

I'm usually so bold and talkative with everyone... why can't I be myself with this one Monster? Why is my heart beating so fast when he's near to me ? I'm usually like a tigress, but in front of this Tiger-like Monster, I'm getting trapped like a helpless deer. What is happening to you, Hasini? I thought to myself.

"Hey, brain less ! I'm asking you only ! Why are you silent? Tell me, why did you come here?" he snapped his fingers to get my attention.

"S-S-Sir... the reason I came here is... actually..." I was stammering in fear.

"Complete the sentence!" he yelled, slamming both hands against the wall.

Startled by the noise, I blurted it out in one breath: "Sir, Vini fainted and fell down! I came to ask permission to take her to the hospital, Sir!"

I finally managed to tell that monster
