Oliver's POV
After the chaos in Canada, all I wanted was to pull Aurora back into my arms, to scent her skin, and to remind her that she was mine.
That was the only thought in my head.
Until my second phone—the one I kept hidden—vibrated.
My brow furrowed. I picked it up, seeing her name on the screen. Why was she calling him? After last night, after everything I'd given her as Oliver, why was she reaching out to the monster?
"Aurora?" I answered, my voice naturally dropping into that jagged, lethal rasp.
The sound of thumping bass nearly drowned her out, but I heard the terror. I heard the sob. She was in trouble. Then the line went dead. A second later, the message flashed across the screen.
[HELP. Eclipse Lounge VIP. Caspian Vane is going to kidnap me. Oliver is in Canada. Please, Raymond. I'm scared.]
