"Mm..." Luke slowly stirred in his sleep, his body feeling far lighter than before.
When he opened his eyes, he saw his favorite person looking back at him.
"How do you feel?" Monica asked warmly, her voice hushed.
The room was dark. Maybe evening had already fallen, and beneath the dim light, her eyes looked even more beautiful and calming.
"Much better," he replied groggily, a faint smile tugging at his lips. "How long was I asleep?"
"Not that long," Monica answered softly. "You can sleep more if you want."
Luke shook his head. "No...but I would like to hold you a little longer."
As he spoke, he wrapped an arm around her back and gently pulled her closer.
Monica let out a quiet sigh of relief once her face rested against his chest, her body surrounded by his warmth.
He felt much better now...more like himself again.
