Hearing those words, her heart skipped at the quiet sincerity in his eyes. The cold water contrasted with the heat building between them.
He poured another handful across her collarbone, letting it run down between her breasts. His free hand followed the path of the water, fingertips gliding over her wet skin with tenderness.
Laila's breath caught again. She leaned into him, the hard plane of his chest pressed to her softness, the water lapping gently around their hips.
Luke's mouth found the side of her neck, kissing the damp skin while his hands explored the soft curves of her body.
"Feel that?" he murmured against her ear. "No walls. No restraints. Just us."
She nodded, unable to speak for a moment as his hands slid lower, cupping her hips and drawing her flush against him.
